Date: 07/30/2010 Time: 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM Location: Robert Half International, 1999 Harrison Street, Suite 1100, Oakland The Alliance of Chief Executives is holding an invitation only Top Team Roundtable discussion, for CEOs, CFOs and COOs. A critical underpinning of planning and execution is resource allocation, and the mechanism that controls resource allocation is budgeting. Budgeting done well places the fuel for growth in the right places. But too often, executives don’t plan well and don’t know what resources they’ll really need. Or they high ball the process, knowing they can cut back. Worse yet, the fight for money becomes too contentious and only helps build silos and fiefdoms within the company. At this roundtable discussion, there will be no panel or presentation. CEOs, COOs and their top financial officers will come together to discuss how they blend business planning, budgeting, and execution. It will be a true discussion amongst peers, sharing real-world strategies, techniques and challenges.

Upcoming Events
The core of the Alliance will always be our private, invitation-only CEO groups which meet regularly throughout Northern California. Because the collective experience within the entire Alliance community is truly extraordinary, the Alliance brings CEOs together in a variety of additional ways to enable our members to connect with other CEOs in meaningful ways. You can check out some of these additional Alliance activities below. If you would like to be invited, please contact Laurel Madal

Date: 08/11/2010 Time: 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM Location: KVIE, Ose Community Room, 2030 West El Camino Avenue, Sacramento The long downturn and slow recovery is wearing not just on CEOs but the entire team. You may not have seen big turnover yet, but the headhunters are telling us that your best people may be staying with you because they are afraid to change companies right now. That gives you an extended chance to pull up your team’s spirit and motivation, paying productivity dividends now, and retention dividends when business turns up and you need your team to crank it up even more. What are the ways that other CEOs are keeping their teams happy, energized and hard at work? Attendees at this CEO Roundtable will bring their own challenges and issues, and will hear the collective wisdom of the business owners/chief executives at their table.

Date: 08/12/2010 Time: 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM Location: South Bay The technology world is full of excellent products and services that never found a high-bandwidth, positive cash flow connection to their ideal market. It’s not surprising because it is a daunting task. There are often hundreds of possible channels, some sales channels, some platforms, some product set partners. Some channels are strong, but to the wrong end-user. Others are eager to get involved, but are weak and require custom engineering. Still others may be partly competitive with you. And depending on who the target is and the channel you pick, the product set you build might need to be different. Then there is always direct sales. Sit at a table with other technology company CEOs and bring your issues or challenges in this area. With an expert facilitator, your peers will dive into several of the attendees’ real world situations, and will bring to bear their collective wisdom.

We ask a dinner charge of $100 per person so that we can donate all profits from these dinners to Junior Achievement of Northern California.
