Stanford Professor Baba Shiv will join us for this Regional Alliance meeting.  Baba's research expertise is in the area of neuroeconomics, with specific emphasis on the role of neural structures related to emotion and motivation in shaping decisions and experiences. His recent work examines the interplay of the brain’s "liking" and "wanting" systems and its implications for marketing, innovation, leadership and decision making.

Pan-European Meeting: CEO Collaborative Forum

Through our continued relationship with the CEO Collaborative Forum, Alliance members are invited to attend the 2013 Pan Euro Meeting in Barcelona, Spain. The CEO Collaborative Forum (CEO-CF) is an organization for CEOs throughout Europe which brings CEOs together in environments very similar to the Alliance of CEOs. Software Firms Roundtable

The Alliance of Chief Executives is holding an invitation only Software Firms Roundtable. Software firms have unique issues so members of the Alliance of CEOs asked us to create a series of Alliance Software Company Roundtables to enable software executives to discuss their specific challenges and opportunities.  In addition to our private Alliance Groups, Alliance members have found it extremely valuable to discuss their specific situations with other leaders who face some of the same challenges. Our Alliance Roundtables enable our members to get to know and connect with other executives in their industry and leverage the collective wisdom of the Alliance community.

Godfrey Sullivan, Chairman & CEO of Splunk, will join us for this Top Team Regional Alliance meeting.  One of the hottest tech IPOs in 2012, Splunk was founded in 2004 to build a “Google for machine data” - essentially a search engine for all the data that servers, network switches and any device such as smartphones spits out when those devices are in use.  Godfrey has a most impressive career in Silicon Valley beginning with 11 years with Apple working in sales, marketing and operations under Bill Campbell. In 1992, he joined Autodesk and then was CEO of a startup prior to joining Hyperion which was acquired by Oracle in 2007.  Godfrey is also on the board of Citrix and Informatica.

As executive chairman and former chief executive officer of Visa Inc., Joe Saunders led a global payments technology company that connects consumers, businesses, financial institutions, and governments in more than 200 countries and territories. During his tenure, Saunders strengthened Visa’s position as the world’s leading payments technology company. Under his leadership, Visa transformed from a private association of banks into a public company that completed the largest initial public offering in U.S. history in 2008.

During this extraordinary growth, he also oversaw the successful integration of over 40 acquisitions ranging in value up to $1.7 billion. His book, Humanity at Work, captures the spirit and heart of Sandy's nontraditional leadership that helped his workforce learn to create meaning and a caring culture as they achieved their best.
