Biography
Juli Betwee has helped CEOs and their teams develop and execute strategic growth for over 20 years. Currently she consults with emerging growth companies in the Bay Area and runs peer advisory forums for CEOs of high growth companies.
Her career spans twenty-five years of winning work with emerging technology as well as Fortune 100 companies in the consumer products, retail, financial services and health care sectors.
In 2000-2003 she co-founded MemeWorks, Inc., to develop Web-enabled products that accelerate the success of company-wide growth initiatives. The Company had venture backing from WR Hambrecht and the products are currently in use at Pfizer Labs. Juli directed the business development and product management functions. Prior to that time, Juli held officer positions with Ungermann-Bass a Silicon Valley company that pioneered networking technology. She served as a management consultant with Ernst & Young, working with CEO’s on the strategic shift from initial to rapid growth, before founding her own consulting firm. Her early management experience was with major US retail companies in corporate and retail store operations.
Juli co-authored the book titled, Building Strategic Relationships: How to Extend Your Organization's Reach through Partnerships, Alliances, and Joint Ventures, published by Jossey-Bass in spring, 1995. The book tracks the rapid rise of cross boundary relationships and lays out a roadmap for ensuring the success of these ventures in today's global business environment.
Juli was recently Co-Chair of the Michigan State University Foundation Board of Directors whose role it is to grant millions of dollars in annual funding to the University’s intellectual property and research projects. Her formal education includes a BA from Michigan State University where she was recently honored as outstanding alumna, and an MS from Wayne State University in the field of large scale change.
