Biography
Jim Cook has served in a variety of senior financial and operational roles from seed-stage startups to public companies in Silicon Valley.
Jim built the financial and operational foundations for both Intuit and NetFlix. While at NetFlix, Jim built and managed all financial and operational functions from the company's founding in 1997 until 1999. At Intuit, Jim served in key financial leadership roles as the company transitioned from a small two product private company with 150 employees to a divisionally organized public entity of more than 3,000 employees. Specifically, Jim served as financial controller for Intuit's Small Business Division from 1994-1996, a +$100 million annual revenue business, and from 1991-1994, Jim was the corporate FP&A manager.
Jim is the Founder and Managing Partner of BenchBoard Financial Services. BenchBoard provides a comprehensive suite of financial and management services—from interim executive leadership to investment banking—that enable companies to grow and prosper. BenchBoard is dedicated to partnering with clients to help guide them through their most difficult challenges: developing a business plan, building an organization, conserving cash, financing growth, and implementing infrastructure.
Jim holds a BS of Finance from the University of Southern California.
