Biography

In 1985, Ken Marineau, co-founded Corporate Development Partners (CDP), a regional general management consulting firm serving the high technology industry for over 20 years.  He works with CEOs and executive teams to align strategy, organization/teams and structures to yield competitive advantage and profitable results.

In 1994, Ken became Senior Partner focusing on creation and development CDP's "Speed to Market" practice, including a proprietary speed-based product model encompassing over 100 core best practices derived from Fortune 500 clients.  Ken leads development of speed-based strategies, coaches program teams and drives "Speed to Market" initiatives capitalizing on new product opportunities from development through product launch.  His work with long-term clients yields high impact results through integration of strategy and operational execution.

In 1998, he formed CDP Angels to provide consulting and fundraising to entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies.  He has been instrumental in raising over $6 million in angel and venture capital financing for companies in emerging markets including:  online payment systems, digital content distribution, electronic barter, internet security and medical devices.

Ken has consulted to clients such as Conner Peripherals, Applied Materials, LAM Research, Invision Technologies, California Microwave, EFData, Frame Software, Cisco and Ciphergen.  Industries include:  semiconductor equipment, disc drives, RF hardware, product software, applications software, customer relationship management, explosive detection systems, digital media and biotech.

Earlier in his career, he held Director positions in high technology companies including Consolidated Video Systems, Harris Corporation, Calma and General Electric.  His experience includes leadership roles in business unit strategy, product marketing and management, organization development/human resources and systems analysis.

Ken currently serves on the Board of D-BAM, a privately held application service provider, and previously served on the Board of a privately held digital distributor.  He is an active member of both the Keiretsu Forum, where he serves on the Software Committee, and the Product Development Management Association.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.  He and his wife, Norma, live in Menlo Park and enjoy hiking, sailing, swimming, travel and the San Francisco Symphony.
