April 6, 2010
FREMONT, CA -- Sierra Atlantic Inc., an information technology services provider recognized for outsourcing Oracle® and product engineering solutions, today announced that the company has acquired Baytree Associates, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based full-service consulting firm and Oracle solutions provider. Baytree has more than 100 deployments in the United States in the healthcare and financial services sectors.
"Baytree is part of our increased investment to expand our footprint in what we call the New Oracle Economy," said Raju Reddy, CEO, Sierra Atlantic. "This merger demonstrates progress towards that goal. By combining our strengths, we are building expertise serving marquee customers in key industries."
The deal helps Sierra Atlantic, a Platinum Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), further consolidate its already strong position as one of the top Oracle solutions and managed service providers. This is the company's third acquisition in the Oracle space in the past few years. The Baytree acquisition extends and strengthens Sierra Atlantic's rapidly growing presence in the Eastern United States, and will also deliver higher value consulting to its customers.
"Sierra Atlantic will not only grow its market opportunities and presence with this acquisition, but by adding this new team of consultants, we will further leverage our exceptional global experts, as well as our delivery facilities in China and India, allowing us to continue to deliver unparalleled service to our Oracle customers," said GK Murthy, executive vice president, Sierra Atlantic.
Baytree Associates, founded in 1994, is known for expertise in Oracle solutions. It was one of the first companies accepted into the Oracle partner program, and maintains Certified Advantage Partner (CAP) status. Moving forward, all Baytree Associates staff will be transitioned to Sierra Atlantic full-time without relocation, ensuring smooth operations for all existing customers. The Baytree Associates brand will be phased out with the acquisition.
"We are excited about the additional opportunities we can pursue with increased resources and capabilities that Sierra Atlantic provides," said Greg Lovette, CEO, Baytree. "The decision to come into the Sierra Atlantic fold was easy because of our similar commitment to Oracle and to providing the best service possible."
The deal was completed on April 1, 2010.
