Zero Motorcycles Raises $5.56M New Funding

Zero Motorcycles Inc. said it raised $5.56 million in an add-on first round, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Scotts Valley-based company, which makes high performance street and dirt bikes, did not disclose its investors.
A key part of the company's zero-emission electric dirt bike is a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack that lasts for about 40 miles.
In April 2008 the company raised $5 million.
