Inside the Fall 2013 Issue:
Defining the Art of the ‘Pivot’
When it comes to “pivoting,” Aaron Mann (Group 275), isn’t a big fan of how most folks use the term. “In Silicon Valley, it’s usually used to describe the scenario, ‘our first business model failed completely and now we have a new one that we are sure is going to work!’” In this article, Mann and other Alliance Members discuss whether pivoting actually describes an existing business principle or represents a new trend in strategy.
Alliance Community Activities
Recent Alliance CEO Community Activities included a variety of CEO events such as: Pan-Euro Meeting with Alliance partners CEO-CF in Barcelona and Keynote discussions with Godfrey Sullivan, CEO of Splunk, on leading through conflict and Baba Shiv, Stanford professor and neuroeconomics expert, on different leadership mindsets.
