Inside the Summer 2014 Issue:

The Lessons of Scaling
When confronted with a very large market opportunity, Mihir Shukla (Group 333) of Automation Anywhere learned quickly there were many aspects to scaling. The first lesson was mindset. “What got you ‘here’ won’t get you where you need to go, which means your thinking has to change,” he says. Read what else Shukla and other Alliance members have learned while scaling their companies, including the key ingredients that made all the difference.

Alliance Community Activities
Recent Alliance CEO Community Activities included a variety of CEO events such as: a CEO Roundtable on “Influencing Change,” in which Alliance Member Lori Bush, CEO of Rodan + Fields, shared how she modified the behavior of her sales team as well as Keynote discussions with author and Stanford University professor Bob Sutton on his latest book, “Scaling Up Excellence,” and Hollywood executive Adam Leipzig on the lessons of risk, reward and ROI he learned while making “March of the Penguins.”

Nuggets From Behind Closed Doors
There are hundreds of years of experience inside every private Alliance meeting. While protecting the confidentiality of the member who turned to his or her group for help, we’ve captured just a few of the insightful comments from a handful of members. Read how Sudhir Aggarwal (Group 110) of Transition Management and Rick Martig (Group T105) of Nexenta Systems would address the challenges faced by two of their fellow Alliance members.
