Upcoming Events

The core of the Alliance will always be our private, invitation-only CEO groups which meet regularly throughout Northern California. Because the collective experience within the entire Alliance community is truly extraordinary, the Alliance brings CEOs together in a variety of additional ways to enable our members to connect with other CEOs in meaningful ways. You can check out some of these additional Alliance activities below. If you would like to be invited, please contact Laurel Madal

CEO Roundtable: Business Sustainability for Sustainable Businesses
Date: 09/30/2008
Time: 7:45 AM - 10:30 AM
Location: Hanson Bridgett, 425 Market Street, 26th Floor, San Francisco

CEOs who run businesses whose product or service helps our world to be greener will come together to discuss the special challenges of making those businesses thrive.  This will be a hard core discussion about how to run these unique businesses.  We will not discuss how to "green up" standard businesses, nor will we discuss whether businesses should be more green or less green.  There will be no panel or presentation.  Attending CEOs will bring their issues for discussion.  We expect some of those issues to be:

  • How to better influence and manage supply chains to adhere to sustainable practices.
  • How to identify when customers will pay extra for green products and services.
  • Challenges and opportunities with changing legislation and managing with different legislative environments in different countries.

Attending CEOs should be running a company where a significant revenue generator is a product or service that helps our world be more sustainable, or whose unique differentiator is sustainability.

This Roundtable is sponsored by:

CEO Progressive Dinner
Date: 10/23/2008
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Left Bank Restaurant, San Jose

These smaller, intimate dinners for Alliance members and their guests were a hit last year and we are bringing them back by popular demand.  A progressive dinner means that we all change seats with each course so that we can meet nearly everyone at the dinner.  We ask a dinner charge of $100 per person so that we can donate all profits from these dinners to Junior Achievement of the Bay Area.  Ed Levine, CEO of Left Bank Restaurants and a fellow Alliance member, has graciously hosted our progressive dinners.  Space is limited, so please register early.
