Solid Instance Acquired by Citrix Systems

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Solid Instance, Inc., which develops solutions to offer independent software vendors (ISVs) an opportunity to publish Microsoft Windows applications as a service from public and private clouds, announced today that it has been acquired by Citrix.

Pike, president and CEO for Solid Instance. “Citrix’s focus on providing secure, personal workspaces to apps, desktops, data and communications over any network and the cloud, aligns perfectly with our long-term focus on helping ISVs build GPU enabled Rich Apps as a Service, RaaS. We bring strong development skills in this area, and Citrix brings market leadership in app and desktop virtualization as well as SaaS and cloud networking.”
Terms of the transaction have not been made public.
