Proximie’s Daring Robot Surgery Saved a Man’s Life

In early 2020, shortly after the British prime minister Boris Johnson announced the first pandemic lockdown in the United Kingdom, a urologist named Archie Fernando reached out a colleague, Alliance member Nadine Hachach-Haram who is the founding CEO of Proximie, a company that had developed an augmented reality platform that allowed surgeons to collaborate remotely.  The resulting surgery was recently profiled in Wired.
