E-commerce analytics startup Reflektion raised $18 million in new funding led by a familiar face at a new venture firm.
The San Mateo company's Series B round was led by Battery Ventures' Dharmesh Thakker, who also led Reflektion's Series A round in 2014 when he was at Intel Capital. He has now joined the company's board.
Intel Capital and Hasso Plattner Ventures also participated in the round, along with Salesforce founder Marc Benioff and former Oracle President and Hewlett-Packard Chairman Ray Lane.
Reflektion offers a predictive analytics platform that captures, analyzes and responds to individual shopper preferences and intent in real time. Its clients include The Walt Disney Company, Converse, Uniqlo and Godiva.
The company has now raised nearly $28 million since it was founded in 2012.
Reflektion CEO Sean Moran said he will use the new funding to grow its client base, develop new products and expand into international markets.
"Reflektion has already demonstrated a dramatic impact on eCommerce through more than two billion personalized shopping experiences in 2015," he said in a press release. "Today we are converting more traffic on our clients' websites to customers. The next step is to improve the quality of that traffic and deliver each consumer a seamless off-site to on-site to in-store experience."
