The Alliance is hosting a series of CEO Roundtables intended to dive deep into the use of AI by real-world CEOs to drive business performance. On Wednesday, December 10, 2025 we were pleased to host our seventeenth session, “How CEOs are Scaling their Sales and Marketing Teams with AI Employees” and showcase CEOs who are already leveraging their data to increase revenues and profits by applying AI to improve their marketing, sales, customer support, operations and more.

Scaling Sales and Marketing Teams with AI Employees

AI employees are entering the workforce. During this Alliance Roundtable, we explored how these digital team members are transforming sales and marketing. Able to take instructions via voice or text, AI employees can now perform many of the same functions as their human counterparts -- helping companies scale faster and operate more efficiently. Mark Elliott, Founder of Opportunity South Carolina, shared how he has integrated 5 AI employees to expand his company’s go-to-market operations.

Our guest speaker, Mark Elliott, founded Opportunity South Carolina with a vision to make affordable housing preservation both economically viable and scalable. With deep expertise in affordable housing policy, tax law, and nonprofit management, Mark has built OSC into a trusted partner for property owners across the Carolinas. Under his leadership, OSC has successfully navigated complex regulatory environments, established partnerships with leading property owners, and preserved thousands of affordable housing units while delivering measurable financial results.

Our moderator, Matthew Swanson, is the CEO of StaffAI, a platform that places "AI employees" in sales and marketing roles at field service businesses. Matthew previously founded Google Ventures backed SpeakerText (acquired by CloudFactory 2012) and AugmentCXM (acquired by Sutherland Global 2022), which was one of the first companies to deploy LLM based transformers into enterprise contact centers. Matthew also serves as Managing Partner of Silicon Valley Software Group, which provides fractional CTOs to PE and VC backed companies.
