Below you will find the results of a CEO survey taken by Alliance leaders on December 13, 2021 (Week #92 of the Covid-19 crisis) to measure how businesses are experiencing the pandemic crisis -- to gauge the depth of impact, the latest business trends and the progress of returning employees to their workplaces.

  • No Alliance companies reported the impact of COVID was “Extremely Negative.” Although 48% reported being negatively impacted and 22% reported being positively impacted. Also, 56% reported that their business was improving in December.

  • For the first time, 50% of Alliance respondents projected that COVID would still be a consideration when making decisions beyond November, 2022.

  • 56% reported that Supply Chain disruptions were negatively impacting their business. Only 4% reported that the impact was “Extreme.”

  • The % of companies who have 75% or more of their employees returning to their workplaces increased from 35% to 50%.

  • 48% planned to use a “hybrid” model combining In-Office work with Remote work. The remaining 52% were equally split between: a) returning to “normal” with most workers returning to work, and b) allowing unlimited work-from-home from anywhere, anytime. Returning Employees to their Workplaces

The survey was completed by members of the Alliance of Chief Executives. More than 300 companies were asked to participate in this survey, and these CEOs lead companies in virtually every industry and range from early-stage growth companies to midsized companies to global public companies. The survey was conducted via Emojot, an enterprise-grade customer experience management platform.
